Die Seitenbesitzer erkannten rasch den Wert einer lieblings Positionierung in den Serps und recht bald fand man Organisation, die sich auf die Besserung qualifitierten. In Anfängen passierte die Aufnahme oft zu der Übermittlung der URL der entsprechenden Seite bei der vielfältigen Search Engines. Diese sendeten dann einen Webcrawler zur Auswertung der Seite aus und indexierten sie.[1] Der Webcrawler lud die Website auf den Webserver der Recherche, wo ein zweites Anwendung, der so genannte Indexer, Informationen herauslas und katalogisierte (genannte Wörter, Links zu sonstigen Seiten). Die damaligen Versionen der Suchalgorithmen basierten auf Angaben, die mit den Webmaster selber vorliegen werden, wie Meta-Elemente, oder durch Indexdateien in Search Engines wie ALIWEB. Meta-Elemente geben einen Überblick über den Essenz einer Seite, aber stellte sich bald heraus, dass die Benutzung er Vorschläge nicht zuverlässig war, da die Wahl der verwendeten Schlagworte dank dem Webmaster eine ungenaue Erläuterung des Seiteninhalts reflektieren hat. Ungenaue und unvollständige Daten in den Meta-Elementen vermochten so irrelevante Unterseiten bei speziellen Recherchieren listen.[2] Auch versuchten Seitenersteller unterschiedliche Fähigkeiten innert des HTML-Codes einer Seite so zu beeinflussen, dass die Seite überlegen in Ergebnissen gelistet wird.[3] Da die späten Search Engines sehr auf Merkmalen dependent waren, die bloß in Taschen der Webmaster lagen, waren sie auch sehr instabil für Missbrauch und Manipulationen im Ranking. Um vorteilhaftere und relevantere Urteile in den Suchergebnissen zu erhalten, mussten wir sich die Anbieter der Internet Suchmaschinen an diese Ereignisse adjustieren. Weil der Riesenerfolg einer Anlaufstelle davon anhängig ist, wesentliche Suchergebnisse zu den gestellten Keywords anzuzeigen, konnten unpassende Testurteile zur Folge haben, dass sich die Mensch nach anderen Chancen wofür Suche im Web umgucken. Die Antwort der Suchmaschinen im WWW vorrat in komplexeren Algorithmen beim Rangordnung, die Gesichtspunkte beinhalteten, die von Webmastern nicht oder nur nicht leicht lenkbar waren. Larry Page und Sergey Brin entwarfen mit „Backrub“ – dem Vorläufer von Google – eine Suchseiten, die auf einem mathematischen KI basierte, der mit Hilfe der Verlinkungsstruktur Webseiten gewichtete und dies in Rankingalgorithmus eingehen ließ. Auch zusätzliche Suchmaschinen überzogen in der Folgezeit die Verlinkungsstruktur bspw. gesund der Linkpopularität in ihre Algorithmen mit ein. Bing
Is using a server side wildcard redirect good practice? This was done but the old domain urls are still indexed a year later. Rankings for the new domain are still terrible and not the same as before the change of address tool.

My question is that we see the usage of webp images more frequently, also Apple announced that he will support Google’s webp image format. Looking at most of the webshops using webp already the type of the image is webp, but they leave the extension of jpg for example https://google.com/image.jpg but type is webp. What could be the reason for that? Wouldn't it be better if the image would have a .webp extension or no extension at all. Is this related somehow to indexing or SEO? I think they do not want to make the redirect of the images and that’s why they change just the type of the file instead of changing the extension.

We did domain name change some months ago and over 3 months everything was fine in terms of ranking, then suddenly we lost all our ranking. All SEO guru have been indicating it's duplicate content issue because both old and new domain contents are on one server. Can you drop some light on this?

If you migrate your website then check out 301 redirect a few times. Even more, after migration control your redirects because it might break in some time.
