Die Seitenbesitzer erkannten flott den Wert einer bevorzugten Listung in den Resultaten und recht bald fand man Betrieb, die sich auf die Aufwertung professionellen. In Anfängen ereignete sich der Antritt oft zu der Übertragung der URL der jeweiligen Seite bei der divergenten Internet Suchmaschinen. Diese sendeten dann einen Webcrawler zur Kritische Auseinandersetzung der Seite aus und indexierten sie.[1] Der Webcrawler lud die Webseite auf den Server der Search Engine, wo ein zweites Software, der allgemein so benannte Indexer, Informationen herauslas und katalogisierte (genannte Wörter, Links zu anderweitigen Seiten). Die späten Varianten der Suchalgorithmen basierten auf Infos, die mit den Webmaster sogar vorhanden wurden, wie Meta-Elemente, oder durch Indexdateien in Suchmaschinen wie ALIWEB. Meta-Elemente geben eine Gesamtübersicht via Gegenstand einer Seite, gewiss stellte sich bald heraus, dass die Verwendung der Hinweise nicht vertrauenswürdig war, da die Wahl der angewendeten Schlagworte durch den Webmaster eine ungenaue Erläuterung des Seiteninhalts sonstige Verben vermochten. Ungenaue und unvollständige Daten in Meta-Elementen konnten so irrelevante Seiten bei einzigartigen Recherchieren listen.[2] Auch versuchten Seitenersteller vielfältige Fähigkeiten binnen des HTML-Codes einer Seite so zu lenken, dass die Seite stärker in Serps gefunden wird.[3] Da die späten Search Engines sehr auf Aspekte abhängig waren, die einzig in Händen der Webmaster lagen, waren sie auch sehr labil für Missbrauch und Manipulationen im Ranking. Um bessere und relevantere Testergebnisse in den Suchergebnissen zu erhalten, mussten wir sich die Betreiber der Suchmaschinen an diese Rahmenbedingungen anpassen. Weil der Riesenerfolg einer Suchseiten davon abhängig ist, wichtigste Suchergebnisse zu den inszenierten Keywords anzuzeigen, konnten unangebrachte Testurteile zur Folge haben, dass sich die User nach anderen Wege wofür Suche im Web umgucken. Die Erwiderung der Search Engines inventar in komplexeren Algorithmen fürs Rang, die Punkte beinhalteten, die von Webmastern nicht oder nur kompliziert kontrollierbar waren. Larry Page und Sergey Brin entwarfen mit „Backrub“ – dem Vorläufer von Suchmaschinen – eine Search Engine, die auf einem mathematischen Matching-Verfahren basierte, der mit Hilfe der Verlinkungsstruktur Websites gewichtete und dies in Rankingalgorithmus einfluss besitzen ließ. Auch zusätzliche Suchmaschinen bedeckt während der Folgezeit die Verlinkungsstruktur bspw. in Form der Linkpopularität in ihre Algorithmen mit ein. Bing
Is using a server side wildcard redirect good practice? This was done but the old domain urls are still indexed a year later. Rankings for the new domain are still terrible and not the same as before the change of address tool.

My question is that we see the usage of webp images more frequently, also Apple announced that he will support Google’s webp image format. Looking at most of the webshops using webp already the type of the image is webp, but they leave the extension of jpg for example https://google.com/image.jpg but type is webp. What could be the reason for that? Wouldn't it be better if the image would have a .webp extension or no extension at all. Is this related somehow to indexing or SEO? I think they do not want to make the redirect of the images and that’s why they change just the type of the file instead of changing the extension.

We did domain name change some months ago and over 3 months everything was fine in terms of ranking, then suddenly we lost all our ranking. All SEO guru have been indicating it's duplicate content issue because both old and new domain contents are on one server. Can you drop some light on this?

If you migrate your website then check out 301 redirect a few times. Even more, after migration control your redirects because it might break in some time.
