BARNSTEAD, N.H. -- A man was arrested Friday after multiple indicators saying "college shooter" were present in Barnstead, Epsom, and Pittsfield, New Hampshire, the state's Department of Security announced. Man Hanson, 61, of Pittsfield, faces multiple prices.

An elevated quantity of law enforcement officials had been placed at schools within the communities as a result of the signs. Multiple colleges initiated lockdowns as a precaution shortly after.

Hanson allegedly positioned the indicators across the communities, the Department of Security mentioned, but they determined there is no such thing as a credible risk presently.

One such signal was written on a paper plate. The safety division launched a photograph of the plate however blurred a part of it "to guard the integrity of the investigation." 

Hanson was arrested on a felony charge of criminal threatening and three misdemeanor fees together with false report to legislation enforcement, false public alarm and legal threatening. He's being held in Merrimack County Jail pending a hearing scheduled for Tuesday.

No other suspects have been charged at the moment.
