BARNSTEAD, N.H. -- A person was arrested Friday after a number of indicators saying "college shooter" were found in Barnstead, Epsom, and Pittsfield, New Hampshire, the state's Division of Safety announced. Man Hanson, 61, of Pittsfield, faces a number of charges.

An increased amount of police officers were placed at schools within the communities because of the indicators. Multiple schools initiated lockdowns as a precaution shortly after.

Hanson allegedly positioned the indicators around the communities, the Division of Security mentioned, but they decided there is no credible menace at the moment.

One such sign was written on a paper plate. The security division launched a photo of the plate but blurred part of it "to guard the integrity of the investigation." 

Hanson was arrested on a felony cost of criminal threatening and three misdemeanor expenses including false report to legislation enforcement, false public alarm and felony threatening. He's being held in Merrimack County Jail pending a listening to scheduled for Tuesday.

No different suspects have been charged at the moment.
