Uvalde police, college district not cooperating with Texas probe of taking pictures: Sources

The Uvalde Police Department and the Uvalde Impartial School District police power are not cooperating with the Texas Division of Public Security's investigation into the bloodbath at Robb Elementary College and the state's evaluate of the regulation enforcement response, multiple legislation enforcement sources tell ABC Information.

The Uvalde police chief and a spokesperson for the Uvalde Independent College District did not immediately reply to requests for remark from ABC News.

Based on sources, the choice to stop cooperating occurred soon after the director of DPS, Col. Steven McCraw, held a news conference Friday during which he stated the delayed police entry into the classroom was "the mistaken decision" and opposite to protocol.

Reached by ABC News, a spokesperson for the Texas Division of Public Safety said, "The Uvalde Police Division and Uvalde CISD Police have been cooperating with investigators. The chief of the Uvalde CISD Police offered an initial interview but has not responded to a request for a follow-up interview with the Texas Rangers that was made two days ago."

Last Tuesday's assault, one of the worst school shootings in U.S. history, left 19 kids and two adults useless.
