Wisconsin man celebrates 50 years of consuming Large Macs each day

MILWAUKEE (Spectrum News Milwaukee) - Don Gorske’s Big Mac streak began on May 17, 1972.

“I’ve solely missed eight days in 50 years, which is phenomenal. And like I say, I rely every Huge Mac. I’ve counted each Massive Mac I’ve eaten my complete life,” Gorske said.

Gorske eats two Large Macs a day.

“All by way of life right here, a lot of people said, ‘You’ll be useless earlier than you reach 50 years of eating Massive Macs.’ I assume I proved them wrong,” he mentioned.

His son isn't surprised at his father’s persistence.

“We always went to McDonald’s with my dad and had comfortable meals. I always loved my rooster nuggets, and my brother always loved his hamburgers. It’s how we grew up. It’s just an on a regular basis life type of thing for us,” he stated.

Gorske’s son has more of a varied diet.

“I used to eat rooster nuggets on daily basis. I used to eat cheeseburgers daily, however eventually you just get sick of it. I don’t know the way he does it, but he actually does,” he mentioned.

Gorske says he will continue consuming Massive Macs with a Coca-Cola on the facet till he dies.

“A lot of instances people will say, ‘You appear to be I’m consuming a Huge Mac for the first time,’” Gorske stated. “I suppose that’s how I really feel typically. They’re that good to me, and there’s actually nothing else I’d rather eat,” he said.
