Teen arrested after mom seen son had gun at Texas school drop-off

LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD/Grey News) - Several agencies responded to a center college in Texas Friday morning after a young person’s mom noticed he was carrying a gun.
Police in Lubbock inform KCBD a mom was dropping off her 15-year-old son at O.L. Slaton Center Faculty round 9 a.m. when she noticed the firearm. The teen never made it inside the constructing, and he ran from the college.
The Lubbock Police Division responded to the realm along with a number of other businesses in an attempt to find him.
The teenager was found close to the college’s campus and brought into custody.
Authorities mentioned the 15-year-old could possibly be facing a felony weapons charge.
Police say there was no risk made to the college or anybody inside the school.
O.L. Slaton Middle Faculty was briefly placed on lockout as a result of the incident.
