Teen arrested after mother observed son had gun at Texas college drop-off

LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD/Grey Information) - Several companies responded to a middle school in Texas Friday morning after a teenager’s mother seen he was carrying a gun.
Police in Lubbock inform KCBD a mother was dropping off her 15-year-old son at O.L. Slaton Middle College around 9 a.m. when she observed the firearm. The teenager by no means made it contained in the constructing, and he ran from the school.
The Lubbock Police Division responded to the world along with several other agencies in an try to find him.
The teenager was found close to the varsity’s campus and brought into custody.
Authorities said the 15-year-old might be going through a felony weapons charge.
Police say there was no menace made to the college or anybody inside the varsity.
O.L. Slaton Middle College was briefly placed on lockout as a result of the incident.
