Teen arrested after mom noticed son had gun at Texas school drop-off

LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD/Grey Information) - A number of companies responded to a middle college in Texas Friday morning after a young person’s mom observed he was carrying a gun.
Police in Lubbock inform KCBD a mom was dropping off her 15-year-old son at O.L. Slaton Middle College around 9 a.m. when she seen the firearm. The teenager never made it contained in the constructing, and he ran from the varsity.
The Lubbock Police Department responded to the world together with several different companies in an try to search out him.
The teenager was discovered close to the varsity’s campus and taken into custody.
Authorities said the 15-year-old could be facing a felony weapons charge.
Police say there was no threat made to the college or anyone inside the college.
O.L. Slaton Middle School was briefly placed on lockout as a result of the incident.
