Teen arrested after mother noticed son had gun at Texas school drop-off

LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD/Grey News) - Several companies responded to a center faculty in Texas Friday morning after an adolescent’s mom seen he was carrying a gun.
Police in Lubbock tell KCBD a mother was dropping off her 15-year-old son at O.L. Slaton Center School round 9 a.m. when she seen the firearm. The teenager never made it contained in the building, and he ran from the college.
The Lubbock Police Division responded to the realm together with a number of other agencies in an attempt to seek out him.
The teenager was discovered near the college’s campus and taken into custody.
Authorities stated the 15-year-old may very well be dealing with a felony weapons charge.
Police say there was no menace made to the school or anyone inside the varsity.
O.L. Slaton Center Faculty was briefly positioned on lockout as a result of the incident.
