Teen arrested after mom noticed son had gun at Texas school drop-off

LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD/Gray News) - Several companies responded to a center school in Texas Friday morning after a teenager’s mom noticed he was carrying a gun.
Police in Lubbock tell KCBD a mom was dropping off her 15-year-old son at O.L. Slaton Center School around 9 a.m. when she noticed the firearm. The teen by no means made it contained in the constructing, and he ran from the college.
The Lubbock Police Department responded to the world along with a number of different agencies in an attempt to seek out him.
The teenager was discovered close to the varsity’s campus and taken into custody.
Authorities mentioned the 15-year-old could be going through a felony weapons charge.
Police say there was no risk made to the school or anybody inside the school.
O.L. Slaton Middle College was briefly placed on lockout as a result of the incident.
