Teen arrested after mother observed son had gun at Texas college drop-off

LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD/Grey Information) - Several businesses responded to a middle school in Texas Friday morning after a young person’s mother noticed he was carrying a gun.
Police in Lubbock inform KCBD a mom was dropping off her 15-year-old son at O.L. Slaton Middle College round 9 a.m. when she noticed the firearm. The teenager by no means made it inside the constructing, and he ran from the varsity.
The Lubbock Police Department responded to the area together with several other companies in an attempt to seek out him.
The teenager was found close to the college’s campus and taken into custody.
Authorities mentioned the 15-year-old may very well be going through a felony weapons cost.
Police say there was no menace made to the varsity or anyone inside the school.
O.L. Slaton Middle College was briefly placed on lockout as a result of the incident.
