Taliban chief orders girls to put on all-covering burqa in public: Decree

Afghanistan’s supreme leader and Taliban chief on Saturday ordered the country’s girls to put on the all-covering burqa in public - one of many harshest controls imposed on girls’s lives because the Taliban seized power.

“They should put on a chadori (head-to-toe burqa) as it's conventional and respectful,” mentioned a decree issued by Hibatullah Akhundzada that was released by Taliban authorities at a operate in Kabul.

“These ladies who will not be too old or younger must cover their face, besides the eyes, as per sharia directives, with the intention to avoid provocation when assembly men who are usually not mahram (grownup shut male kin),” the decree stated.
