Nine Shot, One Dead in San Bernardino County – NBC Los Angeles

One individual was killed and eight others had been injured Friday evening when shots were fired at a large get together at a strip mall hookah lounge within the San Bernardino County community of Highland.

The shooting within the city east of San Bernardino was reported just before midnight within the 3600 block of East Highland Avenue. Officers encountered a large crowd of about 100 folks in the area for a party at a hookah lounge.

A taking pictures sufferer located outside died on the scene. A woman at the scene who recognized herself as the victim's grandmother mentioned he is 20 years old.

Eight different folks have been hospitalized with what appear to be non-life-threatening injuries, police mentioned. The sheriff's division initially said 10 people have been shot, but later updated that quantity to 9, together with the deceased sufferer.

Police are searching for two shooters in reference to the shooting, a supply near the investigation advised NBCLA. The source said many of the injured victims had been caught in the crossfire and did not look like supposed targets.
