Nashville Public Library launches ‘Freedom to Learn’ marketing campaign

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — It's a topic that's taken hold in Tennessee: books like "Maus" or "Stroll Two Moons" have been pulled from shelves.

Whereas these books may be banned from some colleges, there is still elsewhere you'll find them.

"Our job is just to ensure that if you want it, it's here for you," mentioned Public Information Officer for the Nashville Public Library, Ed Brown.

"'Maus' is all checked out proper now," said Brown. "So we acquired extra copies on order but as quickly as phrase obtained round about what occurred in McMinn County, we obtained numerous holds."

These are simply some of the two million other supplies at the Nashville Public Library.

The goal is to get the 5,000 library playing cards in the palms of new sign-ups this month.
