NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — It's a matter that is taken hold in Tennessee: books like "Maus" or "Walk Two Moons" have been pulled from shelves.
While these books may be banned from some colleges, there's nonetheless elsewhere you could find them.
"Our job is simply to make sure that if you want it, it's here for you," mentioned Public Information Officer for the Nashville Public Library, Ed Brown.
"'Maus' is all checked out right now," mentioned Brown. "So we received more copies on order but as quickly as phrase received round about what happened in McMinn County, we received plenty of holds."
These are just a few of the two million other supplies at the Nashville Public Library.
"Lots of people do not want to learn these books; they do not want their children to must read these books, or compelled to learn these books, and that's advantageous," mentioned Brown. "But there are loads people who do, and we want to be there for the people who do want to read these supplies."

"We all watch the TV reveals that we like; all of us watch the different sports or root for the completely different teams we're part of," stated Brown. "Books are no different."
The goal is to get the 5,000 library playing cards within the fingers of new sign-ups this month.
"We aren't trying to be a push back — a drive pushing again against these choices — we need to be an alternative choice to say, if you happen to could not be capable to get it there... you can get it right here," said Brown.
The restricted edition library cards are available as long as supplies final.
