Man arrested in connection with “faculty shooter” indicators present in 3 New Hampshire communities

BARNSTEAD, N.H. -- A person was arrested Friday after a number of signs saying "school shooter" had been present in Barnstead, Epsom, and Pittsfield, New Hampshire, the state's Division of Security announced. Man Hanson, 61, of Pittsfield, faces multiple costs. 

An elevated amount of police officers had been positioned at faculties within the communities because of the indicators. A number of colleges initiated lockdowns as a precaution shortly after.

Hanson allegedly positioned the signs around the communities, the Division of Safety stated, but they determined there is no credible risk presently.

One such signal was written on a paper plate. The protection department released a photograph of the plate but blurred a part of it "to protect the integrity of the investigation." 

Hanson was arrested on a felony cost of felony threatening and three misdemeanor prices including false report back to regulation enforcement, false public alarm and prison threatening. He is being held in Merrimack County Jail pending a listening to scheduled for Tuesday.

No different suspects have been charged right now.
