Two juveniles had been injured Monday after crashing a stolen automotive right into a concrete safety barrier near the White House, the U.S. Secret Service said.
A Secret Service spokesperson tells News4 that officers tried to drag over the car about 6:30 p.m., but the driver took off.
The car slammed right into a concrete barrier and a phone pole at seventeenth Avenue and Pennsylvania Avenue NW, officers said.
Video exhibits a silver sedan partly crumpled in the entrance across the road from a Secret Service guard put up, plus a concrete barrier pushed into the street.
There have been two juveniles in the automobile. Both have been taken to a hospital and are now in stable situation, officers said. We do not know their exact ages.
They’re expected to face fees.
D.C. police are investigating.
