Talking in the dugout of the Nice American Ballpark in Cincinnati, Ohio, Kapler mentioned, "I do not plan on coming out for the anthem going forward till I feel higher in regards to the path of our nation."

In a blog post, Kapler questioned whether the country's leadership is dedicated to representing its folks's finest pursuits and whether the United States is really "the land of the free and the home of the courageous."

"We weren't given bravery, and we aren't free. The police on the scene put a mother in handcuffs as she begged them to go in and save her children. They blocked dad and mom trying to prepare to cost in to stop the shooter, including a father who realized his daughter was murdered whereas he argued with the cops. We aren't free when politicians resolve that the lobbyist and gun industries are more necessary than our youngsters's freedom to go to high school without having bulletproof backpacks and active shooter drills," Kapler wrote.

Later, Kapler wrote about his disillusionment with what he referred to as "the dearth of delivery of the promise of what our nationwide anthem represents."

"I'm not okay with the state of this country. I wish I hadn't let my discomfort compromise my integrity. I wish that I may have demonstrated what I learned from my dad, that when you're dissatisfied together with your nation, you let it be identified via protest. The home of the courageous should encourage this."

Golden State Warriors head coach Steve Kerr made an impassioned plea to take stronger motion in opposition to gun violence in the USA.

Kerr refused to discuss basketball ahead of Recreation 4 of the Warriors' series towards the Dallas Mavericks, as a substitute raising his voice as he railed in opposition to gun violence in the wake of Tuesday's taking pictures.

"In the last 10 days, we've had aged Black individuals killed in a supermarket in Buffalo, we have had Asian churchgoers killed in Southern California, now we now have youngsters murdered at school," Kerr advised reporters initially of the press convention.

"When are we going to do one thing? I'm drained. I'm so bored with getting up here and offering condolences to the devastated families which can be on the market ... I am bored with the moments of silence. Enough."
