Speaking within the dugout of the Nice American Ballpark in Cincinnati, Ohio, Kapler mentioned, "I do not plan on popping out for the anthem going ahead till I feel higher about the route of our country."

"I am not okay with the state of this country. I wish I hadn't let my discomfort compromise my integrity. I want that I may have demonstrated what I realized from my dad, that if you're dissatisfied along with your nation, you let it's known through protest. The home of the brave ought to encourage this."

Golden State Warriors head coach Steve Kerr made an impassioned plea to take stronger action towards gun violence in america.

Kerr refused to speak about basketball forward of Game 4 of the Warriors' series in opposition to the Dallas Mavericks, as a substitute elevating his voice as he railed against gun violence within the wake of Tuesday's taking pictures.
