Speaking in the dugout of the Nice American Ballpark in Cincinnati, Ohio, Kapler said, "I don't plan on coming out for the anthem going forward until I really feel higher about the course of our nation."

In a blog post, Kapler questioned whether the nation's leadership is dedicated to representing its people's best pursuits and whether the US is truly "the land of the free and the home of the courageous."

"We weren't given bravery, and we aren't free. The police on the scene put a mom in handcuffs as she begged them to go in and save her youngsters. They blocked parents attempting to organize to charge in to stop the shooter, including a father who learned his daughter was murdered while he argued with the cops. We aren't free when politicians determine that the lobbyist and gun industries are extra vital than our youngsters's freedom to go to highschool with no need bulletproof backpacks and energetic shooter drills," Kapler wrote.

Later, Kapler wrote about his disillusionment with what he referred to as "the lack of delivery of the promise of what our nationwide anthem represents."

"I am not okay with the state of this country. I want I hadn't let my discomfort compromise my integrity. I want that I might have demonstrated what I learned from my dad, that while you're dissatisfied along with your country, you let it's recognized via protest. The home of the courageous ought to encourage this."

Golden State Warriors head coach Steve Kerr made an impassioned plea to take stronger motion against gun violence in america.

Kerr refused to talk about basketball ahead of Game 4 of the Warriors' sequence against the Dallas Mavericks, as an alternative raising his voice as he railed towards gun violence within the wake of Tuesday's taking pictures.

"Within the last 10 days, we've had aged Black folks killed in a supermarket in Buffalo, we've had Asian churchgoers killed in Southern California, now we now have youngsters murdered at school," Kerr told reporters firstly of the press conference.

"When are we going to do something? I'm drained. I'm so uninterested in getting up here and providing condolences to the devastated households which might be on the market ... I am bored with the moments of silence. Enough."
