TAMPA, Fla. — A Florida man has been sentenced to life in jail for traveling to Vietnam to sexually abuse minors he met on-line, in line with officers.

The U.S. Division of Justice says Christopher Edwin Day, 52, traveled two completely different instances in 2015 and 2016 to Vietnam from Florida to have sexual encounters with minor Vietnamese boys. Courtroom information say he flew back and forth disguising himself as an English instructor.
A number of the boys, based on the DOJ, have been lured with promises of cash and items. Others introduced him as their English instructor.
The Tampa Bay News says Homeland Safety investigated the case in Tampa and in Ho Chi Minh Metropolis. It was part of Undertaking Protected Childhood, which was an effort to search out little one intercourse abuse began in 2006 by the DOJ.
“The legal guidelines of the United States will still catch up to child predators who even journey to international international locations to sexually abuse minor youngsters.
