Federal brokers entered Uvalde college to kill gunman despite local police initially asking them to wait

Federal brokers who went to Robb Elementary College in Uvalde, Texas, on Tuesday to confront a gunman who killed 19 children were instructed by local police to wait and never enter the college — after which determined after about half an hour to ignore that preliminary steering and discover the shooter, say two senior federal legislation enforcement officials.
