EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) - Police say they arrested a driver who was 3.5 times the legal alcohol restrict after no less than five folks called 911.
Officers say the calls began coming in around 4:40 p.m. Monday.
They say witnesses reported seeing a SUV hit the median of the Lloyd Expressway close to the Fundamental Road exit. They say the crash prompted a flat tire and the car to smoke, but the driver saved going.
Different callers say the motive force was all over the highway and now lacking a front tire.
They are saying he ultimately stopped at a automobile dealership and appeared “tremendous drunk.”
Staff informed police the driving force, 30-year-old Jordon Mattingly, was making an attempt to promote his SUV.
Police say he had swelling and scratches as if he had simply been in a crash.
They say Mattingly smelled of alcohol and virtually fell a number of occasions. Officers say he examined .291 on a portable breath check.
Police say inside his SUV, they discovered Four Loko cans and a can of White Claw.
Mattingly is going through a number of charges.
He is the son of the manager for the Miami Marlins and former professional baseball player, Don Mattingly.
