A woman visiting Yellowstone National Park was gored by a bison and tossed into the air, park officials mentioned Tuesday.
The 25-year-old woman, who was visiting from Ohio, was not recognized in a news launch from the park.
The girl approached the female bison Monday morning after it came near a boardwalk at Black Sand Basin, near Old Devoted geyser, the park mentioned.

An estimated 2,300 to five,500 bison stay on the park, and they have injured more people than some other animal, the park said.
When the visitor got here inside 10 toes of the animal, the bison impaled her and "tossed" her 10 feet in the air, the park said.
The lady had puncture wounds and other accidents and was taken to a hospital in Idaho, the service said. Her situation was unknown Tuesday.
Two other individuals were additionally close to the animal when it gored the girl, the park stated. The discharge didn’t say if they have been injured.
The park warned people to remain 25 yards from bison, elk, bighorn sheep and moose and at least 100 yards from bears and wolves.
