A woman visiting Yellowstone Nationwide Park was gored by a bison and tossed into the air, park officials mentioned Tuesday.
The 25-year-old woman, who was visiting from Ohio, was not identified in a news launch from the park.
The girl approached the female bison Monday morning after it came near a boardwalk at Black Sand Basin, close to Old Trustworthy geyser, the park stated.

An estimated 2,300 to 5,500 bison reside on the park, they usually have injured more people than any other animal, the park stated.
When the visitor got here within 10 toes of the animal, the bison impaled her and "tossed" her 10 toes within the air, the park said.
The woman had puncture wounds and different accidents and was taken to a hospital in Idaho, the service mentioned. Her condition was unknown Tuesday.
Two other folks had been also close to the animal when it gored the girl, the park mentioned. The discharge didn’t say if they had been injured.
The park warned people to remain 25 yards from bison, elk, bighorn sheep and moose and not less than 100 yards from bears and wolves.
