The household of an 11-year-old girl who survived the massacre at Robb Elementary Faculty in Uvalde, Texas, on Tuesday says the 4th grader performed dead after the gunman entered her classroom.

Miah Cerrillo's aunt and godmother stated the 4th grader is struggling to cope and telling them what she witnessed through the capturing.

"Round midnight my sister-in-law called me and he or she was just crying, like 'I think it simply hit Miah. I feel every thing got here to actuality now,'" said Blanca Rivera.

Rivera mentioned Miah's teacher, Irma Garcia, was one of many two teachers killed. Her associates and classmates had been also focused.

Rivera stated that is when Miah went into survival mode.
