The household of an 11-year-old woman who survived the bloodbath at Robb Elementary College in Uvalde, Texas, on Tuesday says the 4th grader performed dead after the gunman entered her classroom.

Miah Cerrillo's aunt and godmother mentioned the 4th grader is struggling to manage and telling them what she witnessed during the shooting.

"Round midnight my sister-in-law referred to as me and he or she was just crying, like 'I think it just hit Miah. I believe all the things came to reality now,'" stated Blanca Rivera.

Rivera mentioned Miah's instructor, Irma Garcia, was one of the two academics killed. Her mates and classmates had been also targeted.

Rivera said that's when Miah went into survival mode.

"Miah received some blood and put it on herself so she might pretend she was useless," stated Rivera. "It's an excessive amount of for me to play that scene time and again, but that is what my sister-in-law stated is that she noticed her friend full of blood and he or she received blood and put it on herself."

Miah was injured however taken to the hospital and has been launched.

"My brother said she had bullet fragments in her back," mentioned Rivera.

Rivera, a mom of three, mentioned the family is rallying around Miah to help her recover physically, emotionally and spiritually.

"At this level, we just have to wish and ask God to assist us move forward by this case, I do know it's traumatizing as it's," mentioned Rivera.

Nearly everyone within the city of Uvalde has been touched by the loss of someone in the mass shooting at Robb Elementary Faculty, residents are supporting each other as they begin coping with the tragedy.
