The family of an 11-year-old girl who survived the bloodbath at Robb Elementary College in Uvalde, Texas, on Tuesday says the 4th grader played useless after the gunman entered her classroom.

Miah Cerrillo's aunt and godmother mentioned the 4th grader is struggling to cope and telling them what she witnessed during the capturing.

"Round midnight my sister-in-law referred to as me and he or she was simply crying, like 'I feel it just hit Miah. I believe everything came to reality now,'" said Blanca Rivera.

Rivera said Miah's trainer, Irma Garcia, was one of many two academics killed. Her friends and classmates have been also targeted.

Rivera mentioned that is when Miah went into survival mode.

"Miah acquired some blood and put it on herself so she might fake she was lifeless," said Rivera. "It's an excessive amount of for me to play that scene again and again, but that's what my sister-in-law said is that she saw her friend stuffed with blood and she or he obtained blood and put it on herself."

Miah was injured but taken to the hospital and has been launched.

"My brother mentioned she had bullet fragments in her back," said Rivera.

Rivera, a mother of three, said the household is rallying round Miah to assist her recover physically, emotionally and spiritually.

"At this point, we simply have to pray and ask God to assist us transfer ahead by this example, I know it's traumatizing as it is," stated Rivera.

Nearly everybody within the town of Uvalde has been touched by the loss of someone in the mass capturing at Robb Elementary Faculty, residents are supporting each other as they start dealing with the tragedy.
